History Club

Meadowbrook History Club will provide students with an opportunity to gain a wider understanding of history through projects in historical preservation, research, archaeology, museum exhibit planning, touring historical sites.

The Meadowbrook History Club will research notable MBK alumni and school history for display within the building. Students will have the opportunity to participate in connected installations and projects with the Chesterfield Historical Society. Students will learn about the processes of nonprofits, public and private sector funding, and grant writing. Students will gain a better understanding of how local history connects to the broader historical narrative. Students will grow their sense of unity and teamwork in supporting each other in reaching the goals and discovering each other’s interesting genealogy.

The service projects vary in time commitment. MBK History Club will meet bimonthly during Pride Time. There will be possible learning and volunteer opportunities outside of school hours and location.

Our first meeting will be in room #808 during Pride Time on October, 7th. If you miss the first meeting, email the club sponsor.
